SO much has happened since the last time we spoke. We had a baby, I went back to work, we had a girl live with us to take care of HB, I quit work and now I am a stay at home mommy who lives on the road. And last but not least, I am expecting baby number 2 in January!!

IMG_3374

This is our little family for HB’s 1st birthday party in Michigan. It was a month early, but he has no clue. LOL. This picture is also the day after we found out we were pregnant again. I am a little disappointed because we got pregnant before I got down to my before baby, baby weight ,but make no mistake we are SUPER excited to expand our family. God has perfect timing and could not care less about the scale.

Can we talk about the scale for a second? So I still nurse HB, that’s right. He has been BFed for almost a year now. It seems that everyone who did not BF is more skinny than ever. They are like small, super small. Here I am BFing for an entire year and am bigger than I have ever been in my life. I am more active than I ever was while working (taking care of just one kid is a lot of work), I am not just sitting at home eating. We are actually eating healthier than we have in the past, but yet again here I am … chubby. It is so frustrating. I am not sure what is going on here but I can tell you I am not thrilled about it. I am still working out and I hope to not gain as much weight during this pregnancy. End of rant.

Hope you are all doing well!

Hello everyone!

As you can see I have been absent from posting for a while.  While my pregnancy was easy, I was always tired.

I went into labor on May 27 at around 6:30am, we went to the hospital at 6pm.  On our way to the hospital we had to go grab a car seat from Target really quick (our Uppababy car seat was still being made… UGH) and after Target grab a bite to eat too.  The contractions just started being 5 minutes apart for one minute for one hour. So we knew we had a bit of time on our hands.. since I was doing natural labor we did not feel the need to run into the hospital by any means.

On the way into Target my water broke. HAHA! Of course that would happen to me, but I ran to the bathroom and Trent literally ran to go get a car seat. So because my water broke we decided not to eat… BIG MISTAKE.. I was told I could not need until the baby was born which would end up being a full 22 hours before I would eat again. UGH!!

I went 15 hours of natural labor in the hospital… I then decided I was too tired to continue without some sort if medical intervention.  They gave me a drug to help me sleep for 45 minutes… wouldn’t you know it shift change occurred so every single nurse said goobye to me and every single nurse said hello.  At the end of the 45 minutes I had not slept and then my body decided it was time to get sick. FUN TIMES.  After another hour of those good times, I broke down and told Trent I was throwing in the towel.  After 17 hours of labor I was only 3cm (Hunter was hanging out in my hip not in the front).  The Dr came in and gave me the epidural and pitocin and 4 hours later Hunter Baby was born!

I got to hold Hunter for almost an hour before they needed to take him and give him a bath.  Daddy (Trent) got to give him his first bath.  It was super precious.  Hunter was not into eating right away but I sure was, so Trent and I got some PIZZA!!!  We all got some well needed sleep and then we finally got to go home!

That is where I will leave it right now. I have some stuff I need to do before Trent gets home.

Hope you enjoy the little story and the pics 🙂  Missed you all!!

We just could not hold it in.  We told Trents family this past weekend and we told my parents and sister via SKYPE.

We went home for Trent’s dads suprise 50th birthday! We got into the city around 11:30pm.  Trents mom picked us up and we got home and handed her a box.  She opened the box and inside it was a pic of Trent and I holding up a sign saying “Can we call you Grandma?”.  She got up and gave us hugs and immediatly started showing me things she had kept from when Trent was a baby.  It was so very sweet.

The next morning, Trent’s sister L came over to drop her car off for us and we gave her a box with a picture saying “Can we call you Aunt Lindy”.  She jumped up and screamed and gave us hugs and was super excited too.  Everyone was just so happy and so thrilled for us.  It was awesome.  It makes me want to have more news like this all the time. HAHA!  I love making people happy.

Later on that night for Dad’s suprise birthday party we all dressed up like “hicks” and strolled down the hill singing Happy Birthday.  Dad stepped outside to a group of his friends and family and locked eyes with Trent immediatly.  I think he was on the verge of tears. It was an amazing sight and then Trent and I went inside and got Dad and Smom (step mom) together, we sat them down (it was really my step mom’s birthday and dads birthday is this Sunday) and handed them their own boxes. They opened it and could not read it because it was dark upstairs and so I blurted out “It says Can we call you Grandma”.  Immidiatly Smom burst into tears, Dad was fist pumping saying “I am going to be a GRANDPA” “You guys aren’t joking right?” and Smom yelled “This is going to be the most spoiled baby ever… I am going to be a Grandma”.  We had a huge group hug and it was just wonderful. SO MUCH FUN!

When we got back to NY, I thought about the waiting to tell my parents until Christmas thing. I told Trent “If my mom buys me clothes it is going to be a waste of money, cause I won’t be able to fit into them for a long time”  ANd I am sure I will have gained some weight since then.  So Trent decided we could SKYPE and tell them.

So I wrote on my belly in eye liner that “I’m Pregnant”.  I got my parents on SKYPE for the first time, which was a chore in itself really. HAHA!  And my dad was just about to leave to go to a pool tournament and I said, wait… I have a rash and I need you to look at it.  So my parents are both peering at me through SKYPE and they go.. WHOA What is THAT?  And i come closer to the screen and they look at my belly and then look into the camera and say “Really?! Is that true?!”  (apprently Trent and I joke around too much.. no one believes us)  We say “YES!” and everyone is excited again!

I get off with them and tell my sister to SKYPE me. She says she is sleeping and I say “give me 5 minutes and you can go back to bed.”  I do the same thing to her as I did my parents and she is excited and we talk about how cool it is and then she says she cannot go to bed! HAHA. It was soo much fun telling them. I wish I could tell people something cool everyday. THAT would be fun!

So that is how our family found out. We are still not telling other people yet because we are still “in the woods” but once I hit my 2nd trimester I am going to be screaming it from the rooftops! YAY BABIES!!!

So my parents have been having a wonderful time in FL.  The love thier kids and LOVE living the retired/unretired life.  My mom says “I am finally a stay at home mom” and my dad has kids to pick on.  However it looks like there is a bit of spiritual warfare going on.

The site is a loosely based Christian campus as in the only church on site is of Christian denomination.  The teachers and students are allowed to hold Bible studies together without problem.

SO things are going good, but there seems to be a gentleman who works with my dad who either really feels my dad is not a “parent” figure or is jealous because the kids like my dad more than him.  My dad is funny, outgoing, and if he catches you doing something wrong, he will let you correct yourself before giving punishment.  My dad has suprised the boys and have done some chores for them once in a while (cleaning the bathroom that all 90 boys use), running a vaccuum at the end of the weekend.  Now my parents did this for my sister and I too.  We never had set chores, but if they asked us to do something we did it, but I would come home to my mom having cleaned my room for me or my dad having done the dishes for me. It is something you do to let others know you appreciate them and just a little boost of something nice.

Well the other guy does not like it and gets upset that my dad is not making the boys responsible and he is ruining their manhood. BLAH BLAH BLAH.

My dad also played a joke on a kid who he is friends with. The kid laughed, my dad laughed and then my dad got in trouble and was told my the administration that if he made one more mistake that he would be let go.  Wait a sec, so it is 2 strikes and your out? And the joke was exactly that, a joke, everyone understood it.

Then after that my parents were asked to no longer hold the Bible study with the teens.  They would find someone else to do the important job.

So now my parents feel like they are on pins and needles, like they can’t make a good choice because everything they choose is wrong.

So that is what is going on in their world.  If you think about them pray for them.

Thanks 🙂

*Please sing the title of the post* 🙂

So Trent and I moved out a couple days after my sister left us.  We made our way back home and one of the first things we did was apply to get a gun!  YAY gun freedom in America.  So we went to a locally owned store (buy local when you can) and I chose the new addition to our family.

Me signing the paperwork so we can take the newest baby home with us.  This is my first gun purchase.  Trent has a hand gun but I did not, so it was a pretty exciting moment for me. Wanna know what I decided to get?  A Smith and Wessen Body Guard .380.  She is all black and has a laser you can hit on either side of the gun.  She is soooooo pretty, but I do not actually have a good shot of her.

Here is me with my new purchased baby.  Now if you are wondering why we got a laser on it, it is because I feel if you are really in a situation where you are going to have to shoot someone, you wanna make sure you get them. If you are defending yourself it is because someone is doing something illegal and you wanna make sure they stop.  So that is the reason, but it does not mean you do not have to practice shooting. So practice I did!

The next pics are me in my pj’s so please excuse the hair and overall look.

You will notice in the pick that I am right handed but yet my right eye is closed.  Yes, that is correct. I shoot with my left eye because I am a nut!  I can shoot with my right eye, but I am left eye dominant. Soooo that is what I got.

I am sad thought because New Jersey does not allow hand guns (yea they are redic here) so I had to leave her at home.  When you purchase a gun before you cross state lines with it you need to make sure you know the laws. New Jersey and New York to not allow hand guns or concealed carry (even if you are legal in your state)… so stupid but it is what it is.  The people of New York and New Jersey gave up their 2nd Amendment..idiots! 🙂 Because we know how well criminals follow the laws, so you will not see any gun violence in these states… oh wait YES YOU DO!!! A pharmacy was being robbed here just the other day and the guy behind the counter was legally carrying because he is in the Army Reserves and he was able to stop the criminal! YAY responsible gun owners!

Sorry about my little rant. BACK to being super happy I am a gun owner and I plan on being a concealed gun owner soon and I will take my baby everywhere with me! YAY!!!

So we wake up the next morning and are all wishing for a little bit more sleep, but oh well we have things to do.  So we wake up, have a great breakfast and get ready to go.  We have to take D into NYC to catch her flight and Trent told Neil and I that he could drop us off downtown.  We wanted to go to the DASH store , just to see it really so we took him up on the offer!

This is what Trent and I looked like that morning.  Hahaha!  A little on the rough side but oh well. Moving on: We said goodbye to D and Neil and I got down to business. Our first stop was Kate Spade.

There is a necklace in Kate Spade and it says MRS.  SOOOOO I decided to buy one for me and one for my sissy!  We have a necklace that we both love because we love being married, but we also have a necklace that we share too. So that is super fun!

After we spent some time in Kate Spade we made our way over to Dash and a few other places.  Dash sucks, let me just tell you.  There was NOTHING there that I would ever want and it was expensive. Like expensive trash. So, from there we need to make it back to the Times Square area.  Again, let me tell you it is 90 plus outside and we are walking it.  At first it was no big deal.  Then it was around 2:00pm and we were close but about 20 blocks away from where we needed to be.  I looked it up on my phone and it said it would take us an hour to get there.  So we hailed a cab but not after my sister told me I was sweating through my shorts.  If you take note, I am wearing grey shorts and instantly become mortified.  We got in the taxi and I told my sister I was worried because now my shorts were pressing against my butt and soaking up the sweat.  She tells me she wants to see it so I kind of scoot so she can get a view and she breaks out laughing hysterically telling me she wants to take a picture. UMM NO! No pics. HAHAHAA!  So After that I do not want to get out of the cab and walk the 2 minutes to Amsterdam Theater. AHHH!  hahaha. It ended up being fine because well… there was nothing I could do about it.

We make it to our seats and the show starts.  At intermission I felt I could leave.  It is not because the play was bad, but I do not think I am one for musicals. HAHA. Neil felt the same way and when we were eating after we could not figure out why we did not like it.  I LOVE musicals, like on TV. I am all about Mary Poppins the movie. So I guess we do not need to do that again. YIKES!  We ended up eating at an awesome burger joint and ended the night..

Thats right CRUMBS! DELISH!!!  We brought them home so we could share with Trent, but that was the weekend. We all had a wonderful time and it was a special 30th for my sister 🙂

I LOVE YOU NEIL!
